FAQs

  • My home and editing studio are located in Santa Cruz, CA, where I have called home for most of my life. I work a lot around the Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay Areas and along the West Coast of California, but I love to travel all over the world and shoot in new places as often as I can! I ask for a travel fee for some locations outside of Santa Cruz. Travel Fees are location specific so just ask and I will work up a quote for you!

  • Seafoam Films is all me, baby! You will get a very personalized experience from this little biz, because it is ME! My personality and my lifestyle are all a part of Seafoam Films. This business is very rooted in who I am and what my creative passions are. It was born out of those things! I do sometimes hire on a second shooter for larger weddings, or an editor to help out when my backlog gets really long, to help minimize wait times.

  • Absolutely! For the type of wedding video that I create, one shooter is definitely enough. I can't be two places at once, but I am quick and nimble with my equipment, and well trained after many years in this industry in knowing where to be to never miss an important moment. My minimal gear approach allows me to move around quickly to capture all the action. There are some weddings, however, where I will suggest a second shooter, and I am always open to it if that is something you would like.

  • My style is to not include audio such as vows or toasts in the main highlight video that I create. Instead I edit to one carefully chosen song to create that music video vibe! I will, however, always record your vows and toasts separate, and edit them into individual videos as part of every package. And always ask if you are looking for something different, I am happy to work together to create a custom package for you!

  • You can definitely be a part of the music selection process if you want to! Choosing the music for each project is one of the most important parts of the process and I want it to reflect each couples’ musical taste while still working with my editing style. I can send you a few songs to chose from that I think work well with your footage and the feeling of your day, or you can send me a few of your favorite songs that you are thinking about. Either way, we can work together until we land on THE ONE!

  • My shooting approach is handheld, minimalistic and mobile, moving around quickly and easily to get creative shots and cover as much ground as possible. It is important to me that the big moments of your day unfold naturally, so I step out of the way and just document for those, but I will jump in and offer some direction when I see a good shot at the right time. My editing approach is fast paced, lively, and modern. It is rooted in music choice and recreating the best feelings on your day! My shooting and editing approach are very closely tied together, I shoot for the way that I edit, and I edit based on the way that I shoot. We are a little family. Every part of the process is done thoughtfully with the other parts in mind.

  • For the ability to be creative and emotional in my work and turn important personal memories into an engaging and fun piece of art that is easy to access, watch, feel, and share!

  • My packages start at around $5,000. Fill out the contact form for more information on that and even more FAQs and examples of the different packages.

Once you are ready to book, I will send you an online contract to review and sign. I ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit upon contract signing and the remaining balance due two weeks before the wedding date. Once the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, your date is secure!

  • I work on all projects in consecutive order, so it mostly depends on what season your wedding takes place in. Spring and early Summer weddings will be delivered quicker, likely within 1-3 months, while late Summer and Fall weddings will take 4-6 months.
